Marcella McCoy-Deh, PhD has enjoyed 19 years in higher education as a faculty member and administrator. The Philadelphia native is an alumna of Morgan State University (MD) and Bowling Green State University (OH). Dr. McCoy-Deh is currently an Associate Professor at the Honors Institute at Jefferson University (East Falls). Her academic work, which focuses on American Culture, Dr. McCoy-Deh has taught social science, history, media, writing and interdisciplinary courses that focus on ethnicity, gender any class. At the core of her teaching, she invites students to pursue their written expression courageously and with naked honesty. The Search for Susu, McCoy-Deh’s first novel, was published in 2015 with co-author, T.M. Giggetts.
